“Bukom Restaurant & Lounge
DCās # 1 Live Reggae Spot šÆš² Serving the best West African Cuisine in the DMV since 1992.
At Bukom, we bring the soul of the islands to the heart of the city. Our stage comes alive with live performances that keep the rhythm flowing and the spirit high. Alongside the music, we serve up the rich flavors of Ghanaian and Caribbean cuisine ā from smoky suya to spicy, mouthwatering favorites ā bringing together a cultural experience that feeds both body and soul. More than just a venue, weāre a home for good food, good music, and good vibes.”
“Dear PoPville,
Almost afraid to ask, but anyone know whatās up with Bukom Cafe in Adams Morgan? Hours have been sporadic for a while but I havenāt seen it open in days.”

“Not much of an update, but I was walking home Saturday night around midnight and they hadnāt opened and it looks like theyāre starting to clean it out. Very sad – weekend live reggae was my go to for years.”

Their IG hasn’t been updated since February and no events are scheduled. Last one was listed as October 2nd. Their phone rings and rings without going to voicemail.
“Named after a bustling square in Accra, Ghana, this restaurant and live-music hot spot is a classic in the everchanging Adams Morgan. Whether you come from the delicious foods, strong drinks, or live music, Bukom Cafe is ready to serve you since 1992.”
If this is the end this would be a huge loss for Adams Morgan and indeed a huge loss for the whole DMV.
STAY TUNED.
